Welcome

The
Trillium Medical Technology Association (TMTA) is the only
organization specifically devoted to defending and promoting the interests of medical
technology companies and organizations operating from Ontario, the
industrial and financial heartland of Canada.
Initially an organization exclusively for manufacturers of medical
devices, TMTA has, in recent years, redefined itself to
include enterprises involved in varied fields such as biotech, pharmaceutical, information communications
and software.
This convergence of disciplines is expected to keep accelerating as
companies and technologies are reshaped and revamped to create
new devices and therapies that enhance medical diagnostics and treatment.
The Association provides the following benefits to medical
technology enterprises:
- opportunities to network with peers and mentors;
- targeted events to develop sales;
- organized exports missions in key markets;
- professional development for regulatory personnel;
- participation
in special events and programs;
- regular meetings about issues that impact the industry;
- a yearly magazine on members and industry issues;
- a website that keeps track of industry news and views.
The Association's background
Originally founded in 1995 as a privately funded, non-profit
provincial association for medical device manufacturers, "TMTA" was born in 2005 when the former Association of Ontario Medical
Manufacturers (AOMM) was redefined and rebranded to reflect the significant evolutionary change in our industry.
Ontario-centric by it's very nature, TMTA has rapidly evolved to focus
on issues of national, international and even global importance for
the medical technology industry.
